FACILITATOR ROLES FOR 2024

Emu Gully Adventure Education Group exists to ‘shape great Australians’.

Positions (full time and part time) exist for both Lead Facilitators and Facilitators to join the program staff who will work with 21,500 young people this year.

We seek people who desire to be a coach/mentor and are enthusiastic about creating learning experiences in an outdoor setting. Applicants need an optimistic outlook, be active and willing learners and demonstrate initiative in a team environment.

Experience in working with young people is required. Qualifications can be obtained on the job. A Working with Children (Blue card) is a requirement of the job.

FACILITIES ASSISTANT REQUIRED

Emu Gully Adventure Education Group exists to ‘shape great Australians’. 

We have a 280 acre site in Helidon Spa just outside Toowoomba, SEQld and will provide a school camp experience for 21,500 participants in 2024.

We are recruiting a team member to join our facilities department as a facilities assistant.

The position has the flexibility to be full-time (40 hrs) or part-time (25plus hrs) employment.

As a member of the Emu Gully Adventure Education Facilities department, you will ensure that all facilities, accommodation, ablutions, kitchens, activities, and sites are well maintained and operational. You will follow the guidance of the Facilities Manager and be required to complete a variety of tasks, including cleaning, plumbing and vehicle maintenance. You will be required to work autonomously and complete task within set time frames and to a high standard.

Hours worked will be Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work when required.

Emu Gully staff receive 5 weeks annual leave and uniforms and staff lunches are provided.

Highly considered skills and capabilities:

  • Mechanical aptitude: the ability to work on small engines

  • Understanding of pumps and irrigation

  • Building maintenance and repairs

  • Landscaping and grounds maintenance, use of power tools, ride on mowers and chainsaws

  • Ability to follow directions and complete tasks

  • Willingness to show hospitality to our participants and clients

All Emu Gully Adventure Education Staff are required to hold a Working with Children Blue card (no card, no start).
